Great ink. Good Value

5.0 out of 5.0 by John Oster on December 2, 2015
Got a 12 pack of these and a 12 of the Namiki black for my Pilot Metropolitan. Great ink. Nice color, good flow, dries fast, no complaints. Very satisfied. Tip: You can carry a cartridge inside of a hollowed out chapstick for portability. I take mine to school, so its nice to always have a spare in my bag without fear of it breaking. Once the chapstick is empty, all you have to do is cut the little rod that sticks up on the inside to create space for the cartridge. You can either pull the bottom out and cut it with a pair of scissors or try to cut it with something while its on the inside.
The bottle works great because it's nearly crush-proof

I carry spares in a prescription bottle that holds all 12,and stash it in my backpack. The bottle works great because it's nearly crush-proof.
Not a dark purple

4.0 out of 5.0 by Andy L. on September 21, 2016
So I normally don't write reviews but this one had to be done. While looking at purchasing this product, I read another review of the purple ink saying that it was much darker than expected but that is not the case. The purple is much closer to the color dot on the picture.
50 Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen with a fine tip. There was some black ink still in ...

I bought these red ink cartridges with no expectations. When I received them, I plugged on into my $11.50 Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen with a fine tip. There was some black ink still in its nib and the ink color went from black to brown and then to red over a period of an hour or so of writing. The red ink looks translucent and I expected the color to be light but it seem fine. I use the pen for correcting student papers and to write notes in my notebook that I want to be comments on what I have already written in black. It works fine. I recommend these cartridges.
Has nice subtle shading to it

Beware of leaking cartridges!!

1.0 out of 5.0 by JRS on March 13, 2017
I ordered the 12 pack a few months back. I just opened it to change cartridges. 7 of the 12 had broken open and left an inky mess in the box, not to mention my fingers. I'm very disappointed.
Pilot Black ink cartridges

4.0 out of 5.0 by J. Aceti on July 24, 2012
I have both a Pilot Lucina and Namiki Falcon fountain pens. I've tried this ink and it looks great. However, relative to Noodler's anti-feather or Noodler's black - the Namiki ink tends to feather more, is not as black and tends to bleed through thinner paper. If your looking for the convenience of a cartridge you can't go wrong with this but if your going to be using bottled ink there may be better alternatives.
Right fit for my Japanese fountain pen

5.0 out of 5.0 by Josh H. Knight on October 30, 2014
A very generous friend gave me a Namiki Vanishing Point fountain pen with black ink, which I have thoroughly enjoyed writing with in my planners and notebooks. Still, when I used up the last cartridge, I decided to go with blue since I tend to prefer a variety of ink colors to the everyday black. I have not been very disappointed in this ink -- It's just as fluid and solid as the black, but I didn't realize how bright it would be -- more sky blue than dark blue.

My only knock here is that the Namiki is the only Japanese fountain pen that I have -- Everything else is European or U.S., which means that when I'm using cartridges rather than a converter, this Pilot ink cartridges will fit only one pen in my collection: The Namiki. If I want to be able to swap around all my ink, I have to go to the converter and bottled ink, which don't always travel well.
Great ink, works perfectly with Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pens

5.0 out of 5.0 by S and R on September 1, 2016
fits perfectly in my pilot metropolitan medium nib fountain pen. Its hard to say a lot about ink cartridges, but I'm pleased with these. I'm still new to fountain pens and the amount of ink they use, so I don't know if its normal to go through a cartridge so quickly, but I needed to replace my first cartridge after less than four weeks of daily journaling. I've never gone through another pen so quickly, but I also used this a lot more than I have exclusively used another pen before.
Good value for the money

5.0 out of 5.0 by LadyLisetta on January 31, 2018
Bought 2 Pilot Metropolitan Collection fountain pens and wanted to have replacement cartridges on hand. One cartridge lasted 3 weeks of daily writing of 3 journal pages a day plus additional letter writting (about 5 so far). Excellent value for the money.
